About your Lead Mediator
Dr. Ruth Namatovu is the Founder of Neutral Grounds, a registered mediation company in Maryland and Massachusetts. She is a Certified mediator and a member of the National Association of Certified Mediators (NACM), the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence(MPME), and an approved volunteer mediator for the District Court of Maryland.
She completed her practicum in mediation at the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Community Dispute Settlement Center, where she observed and co-mediated in multiple cases. She has also contributed to the Voice of America (Africa54) as a freelance peace and security analyst and to the Wilson Center's Africa Up Close blog as a policy research writer.
She graduated from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, with a Doctorate in International Affairs and a concentration in Conflict Management and International Mediation. Additionally, She has a Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Lancaster University in the UK, a BSC(Hons) degree in Media Technology from the University of West London(UK), and is also an expert in Media, Journalism, and Strategic Communication.
